For our next Dunaire Dines Out, we'll be heading to the mountains. The Himalayan mountains! Well, we'll really be heading over to Clarkston, but we'll be exploring the cuisines of Nepal and India. Kathmandu Kitchenis a real treat and you won't want to miss this one!
For those that haven't yet been - the cuisine at Kathmandu Kitchen is similar to Indian - but generally, less spicy. The atmosphere is nice, the food is great and they've received several good write-ups recently from local food critics.
... When: Friday, March 7th at 6:30pm!
Where: Kathmandu Kitchen and Grill at 926 Montreal Road in downtown Clarkston (next to Thriftown).
How: We'll meet at the restaurant, and everyone will be responsible for their own check.
Who: All Dunaireans, their friends and family!
So, come out. Get to know your neighbors. Discover a new restaurant. Support local business. And have a great time.
The
Dunaire Civic Association will meet next Tuesday, March 4th, at
7:30pm, at the Indian Creek Baptist Church. You can park in their lot,
park at the end of Bretton Woods / Hammett and walk up the steps, or

Community Garden, the Dunaire Community Pool, local real estate news,
and general neighborhood improvement ideas. All Dunaire neighbors are
encouraged to come find out what's going on in the neighborhood....we
need your input!

Dunaire is a beautiful Metro Atlanta neighborhood, tucked away in a small forest, just off Memorial Drive in the heart of DeKalb County. The neighborhood is known for friendly neighbors, community spirit, and its peaceful character.
Dunaire consists of nearly 200 homes, as well as a community pool, a community garden, and a park and recreation area.
Our residents are able to take advantage of our central DeKalb location that is just 10 miles east of downtown Atlanta, and just a few minutes outside of downtown Decatur, and just a stone's throw from beautiful Stone Mountain Park. There are two MARTA transit stations nearby, Kensington and Indian Creek, that provide quick and easy commutes to downtown Decatur, downtown Atlanta, and Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
DeKalb County has grown into one of the most ethnically and socially diverse counties in the nation, and Dunaire reflects and embraces diversity with residents from all over the country and the world, and from many walks of life, coming together in a true spirit of community.
