National Night Out 2010!

On Tuesday, August 3rd, Dunaire will be joining thousands of other neighborhoods and cities across the country participating in National Night Out 2010!

National Night Out is a yearly event designed to strengthen neighborhood pride and police-community partnerships, and to raise crime prevention awareness.  We'll have a DeKalb County police officer on hand, to share crime prevention tips., and all Dunaire residents are invited to participate!

* At sundown, all Dunaire residents are encouraged to turn on all outdoor lights.

*  At 7pm, join your neighbors for a pool-side cookout.  Hamburger platters are $4.00, hot dog platters are $3.50, and vegetarian smart dog platters are $3.50.  Sodas and chips are also available for purchase.  Proceeds benefit the Dunaire pool.

*  A flashlight walk begins at 9pm, starting at the pool entrance, and heading down Collingwood to Bretton Woods to Hammett to Danbury and back to Collingwood.  Then, we'll head to Cheviot to Kingswood and, finally, down Heathmoor.  Bring the whole family, friends, a flashlight, if you have one, and join in for as much (or as little) of the walk as you like.

If you have any questions or suggestions, let us know at DunaireNeighbors@aol.com.

A Good First Impression!

The Dunaire entrance clean-up this morning was a good success.  Several bags of trash and litter and a few tires were removed from the creek, and a group of Dunaireans raked and tidied up the Collingwood entrance.  A big thank you to all who came out to make sure that Dunaire's first impression is a good one!
