Dunaire Decks The Halls!

Dunaire welcomed the holiday season with the annual get together at Indian Creek Baptist Church.  Plentiful hors d'oeuvres, desserts and refreshments, good conversations, warm smiles (and good lighting) made for a really nice evening.  We really are lucky to live in such a great neighborhood!  To see photos, just click here.  Happy holidays to all!

Never A Dull Moment In Dunaire!

When it comes to fun things to do, we Dunaireans always have a lot of local options, and the next few weeks are offering even more than usual!

*  Next Saturday, November 13th, from 7 'til 9pm, ART Station in Stone Mountain Village will open their doors for an art stroll through the three ART Station galleries and the two Arts Incubator galleries on Main Street.   The art stroll is free and open to the public, but it is a ticketed event.  For more information, click here.

*  On Tuesday, November 16th at 8pm, the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Marvin Cole Auditorium at Georgia Perimeter College Clarkston Campus.  The featured soloist will be pianist Paolo Andre Gualdi performing Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 1.  The program also includes selections from Enesco, Mozart, and Vaughn Williams.

*  Saturday, November 20th head over to Stone Mountain Village for the monthly "Walk and Wine" from 6 to 8pm.  Start off at the Stone Mountain Old Post Office Antique Emporium and enjoy an evening stroll around the village, fine wine tastings and hors d' oeuvres, at participating shops and restaurants, and the new Arts Incubator spaces.

*  Monday, November 22nd, at 8pm, you can catch the Georgia Perimeter College Jazz Ensemble Concert at the Clarkston Campus Cole Auditorium...free of charge!

*  On November 25th, we'll be giving thanks for our incredible families, friends, and neighbors.

*  On Friday, November 26th, from 7 until 10pm, The Village Corner in Stone Mountain is hosting a holiday music event with Andrew Fazakerly on piano.

*  Monday, November 29th, at 6pm, our neighbors in Avondale Estates will officially ring in the season with  the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  Boy Scout Troop 6 will be selling hot dogs, the Avondale First Baptist Church will treat the crowds to some Christmas caroling, there will be a firetruck parade, and Santa Claus himself will stop by!

*  And, of course, don't miss the annual Dunaire Holiday Party on Friday evening at 7:30 on December 3rd at the Indian Creek Baptist Church.  We'll have refreshments and hors d' oeuvres.  Bring your favorite dish, or contact Carolyn or Virginia to see what's needed.
